Join us for an evening of Squid Jigging at the Point Defiance Marina in Tacoma! 🦑

Whether it’s your first time or you’re already a seasoned squid jigger, come share in the fun! We’re partnering with Sea Potential, Outdoor Asian, and the Washington Department of Fish & Wildlife to provide free gear rentals, show you how to catch squid, and keep everyone cozy with hot drinks. We'll even do a live cleaning demo and cook up some fresh calamari for you!

*Annual Shellfish/Seaweed Licenses must be purchased separately. For anyone over the age of 14, this license is required to fish for squid. It costs $19.58 before tax for WA State Residents. View the purchasing guide here for more info.

Sea Potential’s Pod Pop-Ups are intergenerational experiences designed for Black, Indigenous, or People of Color (BIPOC) adults and youth to build positive connections with the water while exploring recreational opportunities and maritime career paths. ALL AGES are welcome—no upper or lower age limit! Children 5 years old or younger do not require separate registration.
