Braided Seeds Community Day: Snowshoeing @ Snoqualmie Pass

Braided Seeds is excited about our upcoming community day! We're partnering with Big City Mountaineers to explore a snow covered trail at Snoqualmie Pass. BIPOC community members aged 13 and up are welcome to join us.

When: Saturday, February 28th from 8am - 2pm 

  • 8 am - Meet in Seattle (Exact location will be sent out the week before the program)

  • 9 am - Arrive at trailhead; gear up

  • 10 am - Start snowshoeing + explore trail (Trailhead TBA)

  • 1 pm - Be finished with snow, begin packing to return to Seattle

  • 2 pm - Be back in Seattle  

Where: Snoqualmie Pass 

Transportation details TBA. We are choosing a trail that allows participants to be eased into a relationship with the outdoors--we want you to feel engaged, not alienated. 

What: Snowshoeing led by Big City Mountaineers.

Braided Seeds is providing lunch! We ask that you bring any extra snacks or food you may prefer.

Who: This is open to youth 13 and above, accompanying adults, and families. Please be sure to register.

Accessibility notes: This activity will require walking, balance, and access to gross ambulatory skills. This community day will not be wheelchair friendly.

*Please wear layers, and bring any gear that helps you feel comfortable in the cold (warm jackets, gloves or mittens, hats, scarves, and warm, waterproof boots or shoes). If you don't have any, we have the option to request gear!*
